about

Performed by Anton Bereš (bass), Ivan Mandić (guitars) and Nikola Vetnić (drums) during 1998. We were all 13 or 14 at the time.

The album consists of songs dating as far back as the time we started playing (summer of 1996), up to the moment of recording. These are our formative years, during which we first discovered and tried distortions, real drums, and, of course - booze.

The recording was realized during the autumn of 1998 at the Beočin Radio Station. The recording was taken and mixed by Vladimir Čondrić. Thanks to Vladimir we had the privilege and honor to play "Iza zida" by Satan Panonski on the grand stage of the House of Culture in Beočin. We truly did not appreciate how good we had it back then.

As before, we rehearsed at my grandparents' place and for that reason special thanks go to the Vetnić family - Gojko, Marica, Vojislav, Jadranka and Siniša Krneta - for support and patience during these formative years. The Pacek family as well as the Pejić family also sacrificed some of their peace and comfort in our musical advancement's favor.

Furthermore, what the band achieved during the turbulent 1990s in a small town in Serbia would not be possible without the support of more experienced colleagues and supporters. This album was recorded on a drum set borrowed from Ivan Akmadžić and a bass borrowed from Nenad Bikar, and it's precursor was realized in the studio of Beočin radio station by Vladimir Čondrić. Our first (and only, not counting live performances) video was shot and edited by Frane Malenica, who, alongside Slobodan Bob Živković, gave us some of our first music lessons. There are also our friends Ognjen Jovanović, Tihomir Aksentijević, Srđan Stevanović and Darko Ižak, from whom we borrowed tapes and gear, whose songs we sometimes covered and who we've always been eager to listen to.
